Report of the regulatory authority on the the situation of the Austrian natural gas flexibility and storage market
In a draft report published on 19.12.2018 on the situation of the Austrian natural gas flexibility and storage market for the Federal Ministry of Sustainability and Tourism (BMNT), the regulatory authority comes to the following conclusion:
The current competitive situation, which is characterized by sufficient availability of natural gas storage capacities, customer-oriented product development of storage companies and market-oriented pricing and sufficient availability of alternative sources of flexibility and thus intense competitive pressure on storage companies, does not require the transition to a regulated system under GWG 2011 § 98 (2).
